My Sincere Gratitude By DBAIncognito (Las Vegas, NV USA)
AMAZON REVIEW March 29, 2009

I am so grateful that Catherine took the time to write this book. After the breakup of my 26 year relationship I was just devastated, shocked and lost.

I felt that I had a real friend throughout my 30 days and that was so comforting.

This book is filled with excellent life skills in general and gently moves you through the days of one of the most painful experiences that we can go through.

I very highly recommend this book to anyone going through a breakup. Grab this book immediately and work through it.

I also recommend this book for people who might have forgotten who they are and that the most important person you can love is yourself.
A Journey For Self-Discovery and Reinventing One's Life
By rlwkid (San Francisco, CA USA) AMAZON REVIEW March 5, 2009

I admire and respect Catherine Hickland as an artist and actress. When her book came out I was intrigued and wanted to better understand her point of view and perspective on managing relationships and rebuilding one's life admist the chaos and trauma after a break up - especially in these times.

Catherine takes the reader on a journey and road maps a plan of action to soothe one's spirt/soul in addition to rebuilding confidence and dignity at such a vulnerable time in one's life. Her words were intimate, powerful and truthful. At the close of the book, the reader is taken to a level of consciousness where clarity and self-discovery is achieved.

Although the framework of this book is about managing the loss of one's love ( whether perceived or real) - the principles shared can be applied to any aspect in one's life - loss of job, friendships, family etc. "The 30-Day Heartbreak Cure" was an extraordinary read - each page is filled with prescriptive guidance and encouragement needed in a building/re-building a fulfilling life.

I purchased several copies and distributed to friends as gifts. Think of this book as an investment in your life. Not only will you enjoy it, you will persevere. Thank you Catherine Hickland!!
Guys, Don't Let the Pink Cover Fool You!
By R. Clements "English Teach" (Pennsylvania) AMAZON REVIEW January 25, 2009

This is a must-read for any person, male or female, who wants tips on achieving self-confidence, an upbeat attitude, and happiness. Think of it as "30 Life Lessons" that demonstrates the power of positive thinking. As a male AND a teacher of high school students, I was struck by how much each and every page had words of wisdom that were applicable not just to the woman who has had her heart broken but also to guys, to high school students (who battle problems dealing with relationships and self-image on a DAILY basis!), and to my friends.
As a teacher, this book was like a teaching aid; it equipped me with the tools that I could pass on to my students in my routine demonstration of "Life 101." As a male, this book made me realize the differences between how men and women approach relationships and how communication can be a really important factor in making those relationships successful. And as a friend to those close to me, boy oh boy, did it give me a great tutorial on what I can do and say to my friends when they appear "out of sorts," use negative self-talk, and act in self-destructive manners.
Despite the focus on "heartbreak," this book has life lessons for EVERYONE, and it is worth the short time that it takes to read every insightful tip. Hickland's sincerity and compassion come through in her genuine tone, and it's as if she is sitting right beside you as the two of you enjoy a cup of coffee and talk about life. The conversational feel of this book is what makes it unique and inviting. You absolutely WILL NOT regret purchasing this book. It will become a permament part of your bookshelf collection!
The cure is on the way!

Reader Rating:

January 10, 2009: I got a lot out of this book. It's about getting over heartbreak in thirty days. The author has a good plan of attack, too, so it's pretty easy to follow the instructions. I'd recommend this to others.

This book is a necessary tool for anyone who feels like they need direction in life or simply inspiration. Self Empowering!, January 6, 2009
By M. Sharma (Hollywood, CA) AMAZON REVIEW

I read the book and I also highly recommend it. It's not a tell all type book, so don't expect to find juicy details about the author's breakups. She doesn't mention names. Very classy. She gives daily assignments and focuses on you getting through the breakup. It is an empowering book that teaches tools in feeling good about yourself, how to create the life that you desire, and techniques in dealing with people who demean you.
This is a great book for anyone even if you're not going through a breakup. There is even a makeup lesson in there! Some of the chapters are "Being your Own Best Friend.", Manifesting Your Beautiful Life.", "Get off the Cross-We Need the Wood", "You're Making Me Uncomfortable.", etc. There's tips on what to look for when you are dating, signals to look for that will show you if the relationship can be successful such as how he treats others such as waitresses, friends and family.
A Cure For What "Ails" You!, January 6, 2009
By D. Balcarcel (Chicago, IL United States) AMAZON REVIEW

Where has this book been all my life?!?!

The 30-Day Heartbreak Cure: Getting Over Him and Back Out There One Month from Today is a must-read for anyone who lives and breathes. Whether you're struggling with a significant other, trying to emerge from a dead-end relationship, reeling from the loss of a job, coping with the death of a loved one, or facing just about any other conflict you can imagine...this book will be your new best friend. Even if you're contented with your interpersonal relationships, this book will truly teach you how to achieve your personal best.
What you realize upon reading the very first chapter is that while heartbreak takes on many forms, we all respond the same. Catherine walks the reader through a foolproof, step-by-step process for reconciling our emotion and moving forward. She encourages us to use the past only as a portal for obtaining wisdom and strengthening our resolve, and reminds us that not only are we entitled to our emotions, but that we can channel them to triumph over grief and conflict.
You will genuinely feel as though she is taking each step right along with you...which makes perfect sense, bearing in mind that she is writing from experience. There's no better way to start the New Year than by giving yourself the gift of reading this book, and I've recommended it to many people thus far!

From what I have read so far, this book is excellent. The author speaks in very warm, caring tones. It feels like she's right there walking your through your heart ache. The positive affirmations are great! The suggestion for keeping a daily journal is extremely helpful. The expereiences and examples she gives...every woman can relate to. I found myself saying, "Amen" to alomost every word she wrote.
I have read numerous other books on curing a broken heart, but this one has a real personal touch to it. I love it!! It has been very, very helpful to me. I wish she had written this book years ago! If you are experiencing a painful break up, this is the book for you. I will read this over and over again. Thank you Catherine!
